Job Summary:
IC Resources is seeking a highly skilled SLAM Research Engineer to join our client's team in the UK. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge spatial AI solutions, contributing to the development and enhancement of 3D localisation and mapping technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop 3D localisation and mapping algorithms to improve spatial awareness and navigation.
- Design and implement real-time software in C++ to support the development of 3D mapping systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SLAM technologies with other spatial AI solutions.
Requirements:
- PhD with post-doc research experience in Robot Perception, SLAM, or a related field.
- MSc and 2+ years' industry experience as a Robotics Engineer or Computer Vision Engineer developing SLAM systems.
- Strong expertise in C++ and ROS, with a solid understanding of SLAM and Spatial AI algorithms and tools.
- Desirable experience with LiDAR, vision sensors, GPS, or IMUs, as well as neural network training and 3D reconstruction techniques like meshes or NeRF.
