We are seeking a Field Service Commissioning Specialist to become a vital member of our project team. The organization also provides outstanding training opportunities, and for the right individual, there is a clear pathway to advance into control engineering or project management roles.

Due to the expansion of product lines and diversification, the demand for skilled engineers has surged, necessitating additional talent to meet contractual obligations.

The company’s offerings include state-of-the-art PLC and SCADA controlled systems for sorting, docking, and loading, which can be tailored to meet diverse customer requirements, regardless of scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning automated control systems for supplied or modified equipment efficiently and professionally.
  • Developing and executing on-site testing procedures (functionality, integration, and capacity).
  • Ensuring the implementation and handover of the final approved system, transitioning to support services.
  • Installation and adjustment of electrical and mechanical components as necessary.
  • Providing remote technical assistance to clients as assigned.
  • Interpreting circuit diagrams and layout schematics for installation and troubleshooting.
  • Building and maintaining effective professional relationships with clients and project teams.
  • Communicating commissioning and troubleshooting activities to relevant personnel in a timely and professional manner.
  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time.
  • Availability to stay away from home for 3 to 4 days per week.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an electrical or mechanical qualification.
  • Ability to diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Previous experience in the materials handling sector as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer or Field Service Engineer is preferred, though well-rounded candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Ex-forces candidates are particularly welcome, depending on their experience.
