Primary Behaviour Mentor

This school is a warm and welcoming community where children are encouraged to develop their social and emotional skills. The school caters to children with a range of needs, including anxiety, challenging behaviour, and trauma-related mental health needs.
We are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with complex emotional needs and be confident in managing behaviour. They will also be able to demonstrate their ability to build professional relationships with children and have a fun but firm presence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Primary aged children, both KS1 and KS2. They will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualised support and develop strategies to promote positive behaviour.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing emotional support to children with complex needs
- Managing behaviour in a positive and constructive manner
- Building professional relationships with children and staff
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour
