About the Position
The electricity infrastructure in Great Britain is currently experiencing a significant and essential evolution. In collaboration with industry partners, we are committed to establishing a more sustainable and environmentally friendly energy system that will benefit future generations.
The Strategy team for day-ahead operations is integral to this mission, providing support to the Electricity National Control Centre (ENCC) throughout the year. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with various teams within the Electricity System Operator (ESO). As the Electricity System Strategy Analyst, you will oversee the short-term operational plans ranging from the day ahead to a three-week horizon, taking into account all energy demands and incorporating insights from multiple teams to formulate a dependable strategy. This strategy is then communicated to the control room for execution, ensuring the stability of our electricity supply.
This position is highly visible and offers the chance to collaborate with diverse teams to foster ongoing enhancements; your contributions will play a direct role in maintaining the reliability of our electricity supply.
A key responsibility of this role includes generating daily reports for the ENCC and other significant stakeholders within the energy sector, which will necessitate your inclusion in the operational rotation.
This Electricity System Strategy Analyst position is located at our office.
