Senior Scientist - Structural Biology

Bicycle Therapeutics is a pioneering pharmaceutical company that is revolutionizing the field of drug discovery with its innovative Bicycle molecules. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to join our Structural Biology Team in Cambridge, UK.

As a Senior Scientist, you will play a critical role in obtaining high-quality protein structural data to drive our drug discovery programs. You will employ a range of structural biology methods to gain insights into target biology and map protein-ligand interactions. Your expertise will be essential in driving project success and scientific publications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive structural biology-related activities of Discovery programs
  • Critical interpretation and presentation of structural data to internal and external project teams
  • Work with Protein Sciences and Biophysics teams to validate biochemical data relevant for structure determination and target-specific assays
  • Prepare materials for publication where structural data has been produced
  • Data integrity and communication
Requirements:
  • PhD in Structural Biology or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Capable of independently designing and safely executing wet lab experiments
  • Experience in biochemical and biophysical characterization of proteins, specifically in construct design and sample quality evaluation
  • Experience of working in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology/drug discovery setting
  • Experience using software/computational methods to aid structure-based drug design
