Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at MacIntyre, supporting three wonderful young men with learning disabilities in their home in the Abingdon area.
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support and care to Ben, Joe, and Gary*, enabling them to live fulfilling lives and participate in activities they enjoy.
Key Responsibilities- Support Ben, Joe, and Gary* in their daily lives, promoting their independence and well-being
- Assist with personal care, medication, and daily routines
- Encourage and facilitate participation in activities, such as swimming, music, and art
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with the individuals and their families
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment
- Manual driving license (the men have their own cars)
- Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality
