We are seeking a highly skilled Ecologist Supervisor to join our team at TP, responsible for overseeing vegetation clearance operations in Suffolk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise vegetation clearance work to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Capture and handle reptiles on destructive search before vegetation clearance
• Identify reptiles (e.g. grass snakes) and transport them to a designated receptor site
• Classify ground nesting birds to minimize disruption to their habitats
• Identify and mark out badger sets to prevent disturbance
• Identify potential roosting features for bats to ensure their protection
• Record data and maintain daily diaries to track progress
• Work outdoors daily, often in challenging weather conditions

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in ecological clerk of works, with a strong understanding of environmental regulations
• Adder or reptile handling experience (additional training provided)
• Valid driving license and CSCS card
