About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Practitioner Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify the needs of children and young people
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the needs of children and young people
  • Provide specialist psychological therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to children and young people
  • Supervise and train junior staff members, including psychologists and trainee psychologists

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, and lifespan developmental psychology
  • Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs
  • Experience of providing specialist psychological therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
