Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pulper Operator to join our team. As a Pulper Operator, you will be responsible for feeding the pulpers according to the daily loading sheet, ensuring compliance with working instructions and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick bales of pulp/converting broke, de-wire, and load onto conveyor in line with specified loading schedule
- Be familiar with the functioning and automation of referent plant equipment
- Operate de-wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors, and steel wire baler
- Identify potential contaminants in bales and isolate
- Complete routine checks on equipment and installation in the working area and report any faults identified
- Operate equipment in accordance with training guidelines
- Maintain equipment guaranteeing daily functioning in line with work instructions
- Assist with operation and cleaning of paper machine if required
- Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment, and Health and Safety
- Ensure high level of housekeeping of working area is maintained throughout the shift
- Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to
