Role Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager at Arcadis, you will lead multi-disciplinary projects in a dynamic and regulated industry environment. Your role will involve guiding project teams through every phase of the project life cycle, ensuring optimal business solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver projects to the highest standards.

Your expertise will be pivotal in managing and assuring the performance of design and build contractors, ensuring project outcomes are achieved within cost, time, and quality parameters from design to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering sustainable financial performance against approved budgets
  • Commercially managing all contract matters to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Developing and delivering optimized projects to achieve regulatory, statutory, and internal outputs, deadlines, and targets
  • Delivering successful technical solutions that provide optimal value for money on a capital and whole life cost basis
  • Performance managing service providers to ensure out-performance of service levels and value for money
  • Proactively managing project risks and issues to minimize final impact and maximize opportunities
  • Managing change and administering contracts for service providers
  • Ensuring quality systems and processes are complied with to meet all standards
  • Establishing and promoting a health, safety, and environmental culture
  • Achieving best practice in the safe and sustainable delivery of capital delivery projects
  • Embracing digital and sustainable solutions in day-to-day project delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership
  • Experience of successfully delivering portfolios of programmes or projects, ideally in the water sector
  • Strong commercial approach with a good level of contract knowledge and understanding
  • Able to build and manage key relationships with external stakeholders
  • Able to demonstrate exposure to risk decisions and highlight implications to minimize consequences to the project(s)
  • Evidence of leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes

Other Requirements:

  • Hybrid working with a requirement for client travel between London and Reading areas (or Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent for other clients)
