Program Director

Job Summary

The Program Manager will lead a team of stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and economic performance of a program while monitoring and mastering risk level. This role requires strong negotiation skills, experience in aerospace and/or defense program management, and the ability to work in a matrix organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in program improvement processes
• Manage customer satisfaction, profitability of business plans, and control risk levels on a program
• Ensure application of program processes on a program
• Participate in construction and approval of business plans during bid phases
• Build program Medium Term Plans on a program
• Monitor program performance on a program
• Ensure program reporting (internal and external) on a program
• Ensure efficient steering on a program
• Deploy corrective actions in case of drift on a program
• Organize program reviews and PROMPT milestones for programs in development and in service

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
• Strong track record with proven experience in leading cross-functional teams
• Negotiation skills to conduct negotiations internally or externally with customers, partners, competitors, etc.
• Aerospace and/or defense program management experience preferred
• Experience working in a matrix organization
• Experience within an Engineering environment preferred
• Training and experience in applying Program Management standards and tools to a business
• Leadership skills with strong interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
• Project/programme management skills with understanding of project management methodology
• Emotional skills with self-motivation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Customer management skills with ability to establish a relationship of trust with program customers
• Autonomy and delegation skills with ability to manage teams and organize activities
• Communication skills with ability to deliver synthetic and clear communication
