About the Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional academic to join our team as a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology. As a key member of our department, you will contribute to the delivery of our taught portfolio, including the BSc Sport and Exercise Sciences and MSc Sport and Exercise Sciences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programme management and education delivery.
  • Make a significant contribution to the research profile of the department, meeting the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the Research Excellence Framework.
  • Develop and deliver teaching and learning materials, and employ appropriate assessment methods.
  • Provide academic leadership and support to colleagues, and contribute to the development of our research standing and diversity.
Requirements
  • A good honours degree and a sound understanding of pedagogy, research, and scholarly activity.
  • Experience of HE teaching or equivalent, and the ability to achieve Fellow Status as part of the Higher Education Academy's Professional Recognition scheme.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.
