Job Description

Our client, a market-leading subcontract cutting service with strong values and a family-run business, is looking for a laser cutting operative to join their team.

As a Machine Operator, you will work alongside the factory team, receiving full training as required, to produce a range of custom patterns and profiles with a high focus on quality control.

Our company prioritizes employee development, providing ongoing training to maximize your potential and fostering a close-knit team environment driven by commitment to each other.


Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and prepare machines before and after production.
  • Manage and oversee the running of assigned machines.
  • Ensure products match technical drawings and given specifications.
  • Act as a team player, helping others on the factory floor to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Prioritize and maintain quality control, ensuring the best product finish is attained.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who can focus on detail and work to a high standard.

Able to operate in an organized manner, experience is not essential as we are happy to train staff who are willing to learn and committed.

Desirable qualifications include a forklift license, and availability for weekend shifts.


Compensation and Schedule

The salary for this role is £22,500.00-£25,000.00 per year, depending on experience.

The shift pattern is 8 hours, Monday-Friday (06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00) paid 37.5 hours as 30-minute unpaid lunch, with overtime available for weekend shifts.
