Teaching Personnel is in search of Primary Education Specialists to deliver personalized tutoring sessions. Your responsibility will be to design and execute tailored catch-up programs in one or more fundamental subjects.

This position is perfect for qualified educators (QTS), tutors, or Higher Level Teaching Assistants who are adept at teaching KS1 and KS2 English, Maths, or Science and are seeking flexible employment opportunities.

The role will be conducted in various locations, specifically arranged in advance, such as the student's home or a community library.

The students you will assist are often those in care or awaiting school placements. They come from diverse backgrounds, including foster care, residential facilities, and family homes, and frequently have special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities of the Primary Education Specialist:

  • Providing individualized support to children in a one-on-one setting at their homes or local areas.
  • Creating educational resources tailored to the child's requirements, which may include English, Maths, Science, or playful learning activities.
  • Employing techniques to maintain the child's interest and engagement.
  • Implementing a variety of behavior management strategies.
  • Building a trusting relationship with the child.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Experience with SEMH and/or SEN.
  • Background in working with children exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging academic sessions customized to the pupil's learning level.
  • Monitoring and assessing the pupil's progress to help them achieve their educational objectives and providing constructive feedback.
  • Enthusiastic, engaging, and resilient personality.
