PROGRAM DETAILS
Aspire Training Team proudly presents an 8-week program featuring live online group sessions, personalized support from a dedicated team of trainers, weekly placements in local Early Years settings, Level 1 Makaton training from our experienced trainers, assistance with your DBS application, and a full and relevant Paediatric First Aid certification.
Throughout the 8 weeks, you will participate in engaging learning sessions designed to introduce you to childcare and deepen your understanding of child development and learning processes. You will spend one day each week at a local nursery, where you can apply your practical skills and begin to build relationships that may lead to your accelerated Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
All instructional sessions will be conducted online, and attendance at an in-person First Aid training day at one of our designated locations will be required.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Completely free to enroll: As long as you are 19 or older and meet our eligibility criteria, there are no fees involved. Furthermore, if you progress to our accelerated Level 3 apprenticeship, there will be no associated costs. Expedite your career path: This Skills Development Program offers a direct pathway to our accelerated Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, saving you up to six months of learning time. Topics included: Introduction to childcare, promoting healthy lifestyles through physical activity, safeguarding and health & safety regulations, supporting equality, diversity, and inclusion, an overview of theorists and philosophical approaches to child learning and development, and strategies for supporting children's transition to school, including phonics – Letters and Sounds. Professional Development Certifications: We provide opportunities to complete online courses that support your ongoing professional development in Food Hygiene and Food Allergens. You will also undertake Level 1 Makaton training. Obtain your pediatric first aid certification, essential for Early Years roles. Aspire Training Team will cover the associated costs. Support with your DBS application: We will manage the expenses and paperwork for your DBS application, allowing you to focus on your studies. Customized support: Benefit from tailored assistance and guidance throughout your course, ensuring you have all the necessary resources and support to succeed. We will also aid you with CV writing and mock interviews to help you prepare.ABOUT YOU
All participants must undergo a mandatory Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS). Upon enrollment, our team will reach out to facilitate this process. Failure to complete an enhanced DBS check may affect your eligibility for positions in Early Years settings.
Applicants should possess at least a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (equivalent to a GCSE grade C/GCSE grade 4), although we do accept those with a Level 1 qualification (GCSE grade D/GCSE grade 3). However, candidates with a Level 1 qualification in English and Maths must be willing to complete a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification as part of the Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
Prior to enrollment, learners will be required to provide certificates as proof of their English and Maths proficiency level.
The Skills Development Program is available for learners residing in specific regions due to funding from local authorities.
Access to an internet connection, a laptop or computer with microphone and camera capabilities is essential. The ability to travel to and from a local Early Years setting, as well as to one of the designated locations for First Aid training, is also required.
