About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team at Samworth Brothers. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving process excellence and operational efficiency across our food manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive process improvements, ensuring full compliance with health and safety, environmental, and risk management procedures.
  • Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work closely with technical, hygiene, and engineering colleagues to ensure food safety considerations are well-managed throughout project planning and delivery.
  • Drive Business Objectives: Be accountable for driving action plans across the operation to deliver improvements in line with the Manufacturing Excellence roadmap and business objectives.
  • Change Management: Utilize recognized change management methodologies to engage colleagues, teams, and stakeholders to collaborate and achieve successful change.
  • Continuous Improvement Tools: Apply and utilize the full suite of continuous improvement tools and techniques, selecting the best approach for the matter in hand and its context.
Requirements
  • Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP): Experience in chilled food manufacturing, preferably with a strong understanding of GMP principles.
  • Lean Six Sigma: Hold a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of process improvement methodologies.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • People Management: Proven experience in people management, with a strong understanding of training and development principles.
  • Functional Skills: Hold Functional Skills in Maths and English, ideally at Level 3.
