The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join our Employee Relations Team. This is a new role that will play a crucial part in setting up our in-house employment law provision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled lawyer to join our team and make a significant contribution to the Trust's legal function. As an Employment Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on employment law matters, including internal disputes, investigations, and Employment Tribunal claims.

The successful candidate will have a Law Degree and LPC (or equivalent) and be registered as a Solicitor with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority or registered with CILEX Regulation as a Legal Executive. They will also have significant experience in employment law, including advocacy at Employment Tribunals.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide employment advice and support during internal disputes, investigations, and processes prior to litigation
  • Defend Employment Tribunal claims and advise on and manage exposure to legal risk
  • Advise Disciplinary Hearing panel members on complex disciplinary hearings
  • Support the drafting of outcome decisions and the development and execution of general Settlement Agreements
