About the Role:

We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading building materials business, PYVITAL, for a Specification Sales Manager to cover the North East region. Our client is known for providing high-quality solutions to the construction industry, and they are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join their team. This role focuses on driving new business with ground engineers and contractors, as well as managing and developing existing relationships within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow new business with ground engineers, contractors, and other key stakeholders in the North East region.

Build strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Provide technical support and expert advice on product specifications to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.

Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.

Identify opportunities for new specifications, develop leads, and convert them into profitable sales.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and meetings to network and promote the business.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales activities, pipeline development, and key account management to the senior management team.

Candidate Profile:

Proven experience in a specification sales role, ideally within the building materials or construction industry.

Strong understanding of the specification process and experience working with ground engineers and contractors.

Excellent relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach.

Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.

Results-driven, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Highly organised, with strong planning and time management abilities.

Comfortable working in a field-based role, covering the North East region.
