Role of a Mechanical Operations Technician at Medik8
As a Mechanical Operations Technician, you will be essential in ensuring the efficient functioning of our production lines within the Production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your responsibilities will encompass a range of technical and maintenance duties aimed at maximizing performance and minimizing downtime.
This position requires onsite work following the shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 6am-2.30pm
Your responsibilities will include:
- Production Line Setup: Prepare and configure production lines for operation, ensuring all machinery is properly installed and ready for use.
- Equipment Adjustments: Make necessary modifications to equipment settings to uphold product quality and production efficiency.
- Filling Machine Oversight: Conduct routine inspections and adjustments on filling machines to guarantee precise product filling.
- Calibration of Weigh Scales: Regularly check and calibrate weigh scales to ensure adherence to specified tolerances and standards.
- Disassembly for Cleaning: Take apart components as needed for cleaning processes.
- Reassembly of Components: Reassemble cleaned components, ensuring they are correctly fitted and fully operational.
- Ink Printing Setup: Configure video jet ink printing equipment for product labeling.
- Daily Maintenance Checks: Perform daily and visual maintenance inspections to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Equipment Upkeep: Maintain production room equipment not included in the scheduled maintenance plan (e.g., chairs, trolleys, cabinets, and barriers).
- Pump Preparation: Set up and purge pumps to ensure readiness for production.
- Production Line Support: Assist in the effective and efficient operation of all production lines as needed, providing technical support and troubleshooting.
