About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mind and Body Practitioner to join our team at We Are With You. As a key member of our early intervention programme, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 13-25 who are struggling with self-harming and risk-taking behaviors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide community-based support, information, training, education, and guidance to young individuals in relation to self-harm and risk-taking behavior.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to support young people in achieving positive outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective partnership working.
  • Manage an active caseload, providing structured psychosocial interventions and harm minimization strategies to young people.
  • Assist in the delivery of an integrated service through assessment, recovery planning, referral, support, and interventions.
Requirements
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • OCN/NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within 12 months.
  • A successful track record of therapeutic working with young people in groups and 1:1 settings.
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting young people in relation to mental health.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety, including assessing high-risk situations for service users.
  • Knowledge/understanding of self-harming behaviors and other mental health issues.
  • Proven ability to carry out comprehensive assessments, assess risk, devise care plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions.
  • Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental wellbeing, and self-harming behaviors.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of working as an individual and as part of a team, sharing skills, experience, and knowledge with others.
  • Excellent time management, written, and communication skills.
  • IT skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and digital media.
  • Full UK driving license and use of a car.
Desirable Skills
  • Qualified in mental health, psychology, nursing, or youth work.
