Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a large and reputable plant in Telford. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment, as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous improvement of equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers
- Finding the root cause of any production problems and implementing measures to prevent recurrence
- Electrical fault-finding and repair
- Safe installation of machinery and control panels
- Total hours and work pattern: Days Monday-Friday
Requirements:
- Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential
- Experience with conveyors essential
- A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm, able to work under pressure
- Open-mindedness to learn new techniques and technology
- Electrical or Mechanical ability essential
- PLC knowledge desirable but not essential
- Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC
- Time served Electrical apprenticeship advantageous
