About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children with social and emotional needs related to Autism, ADHD, or Trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead shifts and support the Registered Manager with recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections.
  • Support children to have the best quality of life possible, including baking at home, fun days out, and taking them on holiday.
  • Ensure the children are kept safe and their plans are suitable for their needs, monitoring their development and keeping records up to date.
  • Participate in our on-call rota, averaging 1 on-call per week, with an additional allowance.

Requirements:

  • Patient, compassionate, and resilient, with the ability to work with children who may have experienced trauma.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to update children's plans and communicate with various stakeholders.
  • A driving license to transport children to community activities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins, and be available to work on bank holidays.
  • A qualification in residential childcare or a willingness to obtain one within the first 2 years of employment.
