Position Overview:
A dedicated Sales Engineer (office-based) with a solid foundation in engineering is sought to serve as the primary liaison for both new and existing clients at a reputable organization specializing in the design and manufacturing of bespoke packaging machinery.
This role is newly established to ensure that all incoming sales inquiries are comprehensively understood and managed efficiently. The compensation package is negotiable, featuring uncapped commission potential along with an annual bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for business inquiries, managing communications via email and phone.
- Select and distribute relevant sales materials in response to inquiries.
- Coordinate and occasionally lead product demonstrations.
- Participate in trade exhibitions.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Sales Manager.
- Future growth within this position will involve identifying new business opportunities through existing client accounts.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A strong aptitude for mechanical and electrical engineering.
- An engaging and approachable personality.
- Confidence in communicating over the phone and in face-to-face meetings with clients.
- Proven experience in managing inbound telephone inquiries, ideally within an engineering context.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- The capability to exercise judgment, problem-solving skills, and initiative to provide information and support, recognizing when issues should be escalated to the Sales Manager.
- A high level of proficiency in IT, including MS Office.
