Job SummaryVox Network Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for providing professional support to our engineering service, ensuring that all mechanical installations meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect mechanical installations to ensure compliance with project requirements, technical briefs, specifications, and legislation.
- Maintain detailed diaries and site notes to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, contractors, residents, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and monitoring on assigned projects, covering for colleagues as needed.
- Provide high-quality on-site quality assurance and audit inspection services.
- Inspect and test completed projects, prepare schedules of defects, and check remedial works.
- Advise on the appraisal, selection, appointment, and performance of contractors and subcontractors.
- Higher National Certificate in building services, engineering, or equivalent with practical experience.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or training program with subsequent general experience in building services engineering.
- Excellent detailed technical knowledge of mechanical installations, gas installation works, heat networks, and communal heating systems.
- Ability to investigate and recommend solutions to service engineering design and maintenance-related technical problems.
- Ability to advise on the appraisal, selection, and appointment of contractors and subcontractors.
- Ability to provide on-site inspection of engineering installations and equipment.
- Initial 3 to 6 month ongoing contract with the opportunity to extend.
- PAYE via Umbrella.
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (2 days work from home).
