Reed Finance is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting the financial aspects and strategic decision-making of projects for our globally recognised client.
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience with financial modelling and scenario analysis. This role will initially be on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract, however, is highly likely to be made permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the financial health of projects by monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, and forecasting future costs.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with organisational goals.
- Develop and maintain financial models to aid strategic decision-making.
- Prepare financial reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Implement financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights for performance improvement.
- Demonstrable experience in project accounting and financial modelling.
- A robust understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Capable of communicating complex financial information in a clear manner.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues.
- An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is preferred.
