Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering consultancy efforts in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing detailed designs for offshore equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement design solutions for offshore wind and tidal projects.
  2. Lead engineering consultancy activities, ensuring projects meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  3. Perform design verification and validation through rigorous analysis and documentation.
  4. Oversee the engineering design process, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  5. Provide technical support to workshop, procurement, and operational teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  6. Contribute to commercial activities by assisting in the creation of concept designs and providing input for tenders.
Requirements:
  1. At least 10 years of post-graduation experience in a relevant engineering industry.
  2. Strong background in producing design risk assessments and FMECA documentation.
  3. Skilled in structural analysis tools such as SolidWorks Simulation, PDM, ANSYS, and/or STAAD.
  4. Chartered Engineer status with a recognized engineering body.
