Environmental Monitoring Technician

SOCOTEC UK Limited
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our Environment and Safety Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking monitoring of stack emissions from industrial processes to determine compliance with Environmental Permit requirements and obligations at client premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring emissions to documented procedures, published standards and protocols, and industry best practice
- Preparing detailed and accurate technical reports for clients
- Working to SOCOTEC's Health & Safety Policies and customers' site rules and procedures contained in the SOCOTEC Quality Manual
- Undertaking equipment maintenance, calibration, or kit preparation tasks, as required, plus laboratory duties and report writing
Requirements:
- An interest in developing a career in stack emissions monitoring using manual sampling and instrumental analyzing techniques
- A desire to work outdoors and at heights on occasions at a variety of industrial locations, which can be physically and mentally challenging
- Availability to work away from home during the working week for some days during each month
- A full driving license, and a flexible and positive attitude
