Role Overview

As a Cloud Frontend Engineer at Signaloid, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our cloud-based computing platform. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement new front-end functionality, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience for our users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of new front-end features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Extend and maintain the testing and QA infrastructure to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Take ownership of identifying and addressing quality gaps in your implementation, ensuring alignment with team design and quality objectives.
  • Deliver new functionality and tests on a regular release schedule, working closely with engineering and commercial teams.
Long-term Opportunities
  • Contribute to the definition and leadership of key platform evolutions, either as an individual contributor or team lead.
  • Gain increased autonomy and responsibility for strategy within the engineering team.
  • Have opportunities to take on new challenges within Signaloid, based on demonstrated performance.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate or master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in algorithms and algorithm analysis.
  • More than two years of experience as a frontend engineer.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React.js).
  • Experience with frontend state management (e.g., Vuex, Redux).
  • Experience developing client-side web applications.
  • Experience working with Git.
  • Experience writing testable and reusable code, associated tests, and documentation.
  • Experience working on full-stack applications, collaborating with backend engineers.
  • Ability to design clean and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A willingness to listen to people until they feel understood.
  • Honesty, empathy, and a willingness to see the world from the viewpoint of others.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Ability and willingness to implement cloud application backends yourself.
  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Experience with responsive and accessible design.
  • Understanding of SEO principles.
  • Experience working with UX/UI/Product designers.
  • Knowledge of good CI/CD practices.
  • Experience deploying cloud applications.
  • Experience with interface design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva).
  • Experience in Test-Driven Development.
Our Recruiting Procedure
  • All positions require a brief cover letter, no more than one page long. You can also substitute the cover letter for a snippet of code that will run on the signaloid.io platform.
  • Applicants who pass the cover letter screening receive an initial 15-minute Zoom screening call with the CEO/CTO.
  • Applicants who pass the screening interview will be given a coding project to complete using the Free Tier of Signaloid's Signaloid Cloud Developer Platform.
  • Applicants who successfully complete the coding exercise are invited for a set of interviews with people from our core teams.
  • In the final stage, applicants are invited for an on-site (or virtual on-site) day with members of the team you are interviewing to join.
