Job Description: Procurement Specialist

As a key member of our purchasing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies for our electrical manufacturing company. Your responsibilities will include sourcing and ordering materials, managing inventory levels, tracking deliveries, and collaborating with suppliers to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and Order Materials: Identify and procure materials and supplies in line with sales demands and manufacturing forecasts.
  • Manage Inventory: Monitor and control inventory levels, including stock shortages, alternative components, and obsolete parts.
  • Track Deliveries: Monitor and update order status, liaising with the warehouse to schedule deliveries.
  • Supplier Management: Onboard new suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and performance reviews of existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate Contracts: Assist in negotiating supplier contracts and pricing.
  • Collaborate with Production: Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
