Position Overview

We are seeking applications for the role of Senior Anaesthesia Consultant, with two permanent positions available.

The Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to the local community. Our facilities include two major hospitals, which are equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs, including a comprehensive maternity unit and a neonatal care facility.

Our department fosters a supportive and collegial environment, prioritizing a healthy work-life balance. With a team of 46 Consultants, 4 Specialty Anaesthesia Assistants, and 32 trainees, we are committed to encouraging both personal and professional growth. We welcome informal inquiries and visits to our department.

Key Responsibilities

This position encompasses 10 programmed activities. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility in meeting the demands of a busy department while possessing a broad range of anaesthetic and critical care expertise.

About Our Department

The Anaesthetic Department offers a full spectrum of services typically found in a district hospital. Our specialties include vascular, upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, breast surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, oro-maxillofacial surgery, ophthalmology, and plastic surgery, all supported by a 16-bed critical care unit.
