Job Description

Personal Tax Semi-Senior

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Tax Semi-Senior to join a leading firm of chartered accountants. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional to take their career to the next level and work with a reputable and well-established company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Tax Manager with all compliance tax matters, including tax computations for a portfolio of clients, including individuals, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Assist with advisory work, mainly CGT and IHT, and provide technical expertise to clients.
  • Liaise with other offices and departments as required, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Deal with HMRC correspondence, including emails, letters, and telephone calls, in a professional and timely manner.
  • Liaise with clients as and when required, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Prepare form P11Ds and ensure clients are advised of impending deadlines.
  • Assist junior members of staff as required, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • AAT or ATT/ACA/ACCA part qualified or qualified by experience, with at least 13 years of experience working within an accountancy practice environment or personal tax position.
  • Experience of preparing tax returns for Manager or Partner review and relevant tax computation software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • ACCA, ATT, or CTA qualification.
  • Significant experience in a tax role within a practice environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of personal tax regulations and compliance.
  • The ability to mentor and guide junior staff members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
