Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Action Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support services to individuals with learning disabilities and other support needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, household management, and meal preparation.
  • Support service users to access community resources, engage in leisure activities, and participate in social events.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and advocacy for service users.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual support plans, ensuring that service users' needs are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and PVG clearance.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to person-centred support and advocacy.
