Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in our community mental health services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a Master's level award in Advanced Health Assessment and Non-Medical Prescribing. You will be responsible for assessing, formulating, and managing risk for people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, as well as providing autonomous clinical assessment and treatment.

You will also contribute to the delivery of programmes of quality improvement and provide clinical leadership and management to ensure safe, quality, effective care. Additionally, you will improve workforce knowledge and practice through the provision of ward-based education and training programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in our community mental health services.
  2. Assess, formulate, and manage risk for people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
  3. Provide autonomous clinical assessment and treatment.
  4. Contribute to the delivery of programmes of quality improvement.
  5. Provide clinical leadership and management to ensure safe, quality, effective care.
  6. Improve workforce knowledge and practice through the provision of ward-based education and training programmes.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in nursing and a Master's level award in Advanced Health Assessment and Non-Medical Prescribing. You will also need to have experience in teaching/clinically supervising junior staff, leading on a series of audits, action plans, and projects simultaneously, and experience of working in a community mental health and physical health setting.

You will also need to demonstrate values that are complementary to those of the organisation service and have qualifications in Project Management and/or Quality improvement.
