Proactive Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team at a large and reputable plant in Telford. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment and servicing and repairing production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Continuous improvement of equipment to optimize production efficiency
  2. Day-to-day attention to Electrical/Mechanical breakdowns and changeovers
  3. Root cause analysis of production problems and implementation of preventative measures
  4. Electrical fault-finding and repair
  5. Safe installation of machinery and control panels
  6. Total hours and work pattern: Days Monday-Friday

Requirements:

  1. Experience within a manufacturing or production industry essential
  2. Experience with conveyors essential
  3. A team player with a proactive approach and ability to work under pressure
  4. Open-mindedness to learn new techniques and technology
  5. Electrical or Mechanical ability essential
  6. PLC knowledge desirable but not essential
  7. Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC
  8. Time served Electrical apprenticeship advantageous
