About the Team

Our specialized Industry & Services group delivers audit solutions to firms listed on the London Stock Exchange (including FTSE 350, Small Cap, and Fledgling), AIM, and large organizations/groups with revenues exceeding £150m. The team also collaborates closely with international teams to audit UK-based subsidiaries of major global corporations.

About the Role

As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will spearhead and take charge of multiple audit projects while overseeing and mentoring junior staff. You will engage closely with clients, demonstrating a commitment to delivering outstanding service.

  • Providing guidance and support to the audit team in developing audit strategies and planning.
  • Managing and directing audit assignments from initial planning to the finalization of reports within agreed timelines.
  • Monitoring time management and ensuring actual time spent aligns with budgetary constraints.
  • Serving as a primary contact for engagement leads and clients, ensuring both parties are fully updated on any arising issues and the audit's progress.
  • Ensuring that the standards and procedures upheld by the entire team are maintained, with a complete audit file presented and review points addressed.
  • Drafting the audit opinion summary for the Manager and Partner, along with other reporting documents, including group reporting and audit committee materials.
  • Leading and supervising an audit team, delegating tasks to team members, and ensuring that work is completed to high-quality standards and within deadlines.

What We Are Looking For

We are in search of a seasoned professional with substantial and recent UK audit experience.

  • Qualified ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) certification.
  • Proven experience in leading external audits from planning through to completion.
  • Relevant audit experience within the industry and services sector.
  • Current technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
