Estimator - Construction Sector

We are seeking a skilled Estimator with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join a reputable construction and refurbishment firm.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of various aspects of new construction and refurbishment across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage multiple refurbishment and new construction projects valued up to £7m, including traditional and Design & Build tenders, while utilizing specialized estimating software.

- Demonstrate the ability to independently create precise and competitive tenders.
- Review tender documents and prepare inquiries for sub-contractors and materials.
- Generate bills of quantities and engage in risk and value management.
- Develop budgets, estimates, and cost plans.
- Conduct internal tender evaluations and present findings to clients.

- Maintain a solid understanding of current Health and Safety regulations, modern construction methods, and contractual obligations.

- Implement value engineering during the design phase of Design & Build contracts.
- Prepare detailed analytical cost estimates, including preliminary costs.
- Evaluate and compare sub-contractor quotations.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and the supply chain.

Proficiency in using estimating software is essential.
