The Property Department

Our property team is one of the largest and most respected in the country, consisting of over 100 specialists across five offices. We excel in areas such as development and investment, planning, secured lending, and landlord-tenant relations. Our team is increasingly involved in high-value transactions and prestigious clients.

Our lawyers come from diverse backgrounds, including major City firms and local government, bringing a wealth of expertise in construction, planning, and commercial law. This diversity allows us to collaborate effectively on complex transactions and deliver tailored solutions for our clients.

The Ipswich team comprises around 25 professionals with varied career paths and skills. While structured into sub-groups based on work type, we promote flexibility to ensure comprehensive experience across all areas. This structure fosters mentorship, regular communication, and clear advancement pathways, enabling individuals to shape their roles.

Key Responsibilities

We seek candidates with 1 - 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) from a reputable regional, national, or City firm, with exposure to:

  • Commercial landlord and tenant matters
  • Investment and asset management
  • General commercial property development
  • Secured lending for banks and borrowers
  • Property support in corporate transactions

While the PQE requirement serves as a guideline, we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, evaluated on their individual merits. The successful candidate will initially handle work delegated by Partners and Senior Associates, ensuring clients receive exceptional value.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of property law, coupled with the ability to think commercially and analytically. This will enable them to provide precise and practical advice tailored to the needs of corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals. A keen interest in business development is advantageous.
