Role Overview:
The selected candidate will oversee the daily operations related to quality assurance and food safety at our manufacturing facility. This role involves ensuring adherence to the Weetabix Food Safety Standards, the Weetabix Quality Management System (WQMS), and compliance with BRC, legal, and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive performance to meet the Quality & Food Safety Strategy.
- Act as a deputy for the Quality and Compliance Manager.
- Engage with stakeholders effectively while fostering positive relationships.
- Manage the Audit Program to ensure timely completion of actions for continuous improvement.
- Address daily quality concerns, investigate complaints, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Ensure Food Safety and Compliance align with legal and customer standards.
- Provide coaching to teams on quality and food safety protocols to ensure thorough understanding and implementation.
- Develop and maintain new procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Lead projects and implement food safety initiatives to drive change.
- Oversee equipment calibration, cleaning standards, pest control, and procedural compliance to uphold high standards.
- Foster a proactive Food Safety Culture and share best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential Qualifications:
- Background in technical and quality aspects of food safety and compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in driving quality and continuous improvement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in PC applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
