Job Title: Controls and Software Engineer

Bennett And Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Controls and Software Engineer to join our team in the Liverpool area.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to design and develop software aspects of machinery to a project specification and in line with the project schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Design, implement, and maintain PLC, HMI Software, and SCADA systems.
  • Direct and coordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Prepare specifications for the purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine the nature and extent of the problem, and recommend remedial measures.
  • Provide IQ/OQ support on site (occasional).
Requirements:
  • Software Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with WinCC and SCADA systems.
  • Proficiency in TIA Portal, Ladder Logic, PLC, and HMI.
  • Knowledge of Siemens S7.
  • Scripting skills (VB/C, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
Remuneration:
  • £55k-£65k dependent on experience.
  • Hybrid working available.
  • Early finish Fridays.
