Position: Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Special Educational Needs Support Assistants. This role involves working within educational settings that support children with autism and various social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

We have opportunities available in both primary and secondary educational institutions. These roles are suitable for candidates with prior experience in special education as well as those who are eager to develop their skills in this rewarding field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with special educational needs in their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).

Requirements:

  • A foundational understanding of childcare and special educational needs.
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Current safeguarding training, which can be provided by Prospero Teaching.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for this position through Prospero Teaching, candidates must:

  • Possess an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
