**About the Role**

Altus Group is seeking an experienced surveyor to join our dynamic Business Rates Team in Bristol. As a director-level rating surveyor, you will be assigned a patch covering one of the cities within the region of Swansea, Cardiff, Gloucester, Bristol, Exeter or Plymouth.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct inspections and measurements of client properties (typically 2-3 times a month).
  • Draft floor plans using our CAD program.
  • Manage client cases, formulating appeals.
  • Prepare assessment reports, analyzing and gathering evidence for business rates assessment appeals.
  • Keep company records and databases updated.
  • Communicate with clients, both written and verbally.
  • Deliver excellent service to clients, ensuring strong and positive working relationships.
  • Achieve team KPIs and contribute to the overall success of the wider team and Altus Group.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum of 2 years post APC experience in rating or landlord and tenant.
  • University degree – A Real Estate or property related degree would be beneficial but non-cognate degrees/ equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Full driving licence, with access to own car.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • A strong commercial awareness.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Excel, Word and CRM systems.
