Salary: £130k-£160k Basic + generous bonus + benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic tax leader to join our team as Head of Group Tax. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our global tax strategy, aligned with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Global Tax Strategy: Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement a comprehensive global tax strategy that supports our business growth and objectives.
  • Lead and Mentor Tax Team: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the team is equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Provide Strategic Tax Advice: Provide strategic tax advice to support business growth and M&A activity, ensuring that our tax strategy is aligned with our business objectives.
  • Oversee Tax Compliance: Oversee tax compliance across the group, mitigating risks and ensuring accuracy.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and external advisors, ensuring that our tax strategy is aligned with our business objectives.
  • Drive Tax Efficiency: Drive tax efficiency initiatives and leverage technology to optimize processes, ensuring that our tax function is efficient and effective.

Requirements:

  • CTA (or equivalent) qualification and extensive global tax experience.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing tax teams.
  • Strong understanding of tax implications of complex business structures.
  • Experience in managing tax risks and compliance in a global organization.
  • Significant experience in dealing with tax authorities and advisors.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A pro-active individual who enjoys working collaboratively as a team.
  • Treasury experience is desirable.
