We are excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled and driven HGV Technician/Mechanic to become a vital part of our operations. This position will be based in a dynamic workshop environment, focusing on maintaining our extensive fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Maintenance: Conduct servicing and repairs on a large fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Diagnostics: Perform fault diagnostics to identify and resolve vehicle issues efficiently.
  • MOT Preparation: Prepare vehicles for MOT testing, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Regular Inspections: Carry out weekly and monthly checks on HGV vehicles to maintain safety standards.
  • Repairs: Execute mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a similar role within the heavy goods or heavy plant sector. A Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent experience is preferred.

Familiarity with brands such as Mercedes, DAF, Dennis, Volvo, and Renault is essential. Candidates should embody the core values of DPD: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring, and Accountability.

While an irtec licence is advantageous, it is not mandatory as training can be provided. A Class 1 LGV Driving Licence is desirable but not essential.
