Our Procurement and Contract Management team at Severn Trent are seeking an experienced Contract Specialist to oversee our contracts, which are crucial to delivering safe, clean drinking water to millions of people across the Midlands every day.

Based at our office in Derby, we're looking for a skilled Contract Specialist to join our experienced team. The role of the Contract Specialist is to develop and implement the strategic direction for supplier performance, terms compliance, and cost management in collaboration with managers at Severn Trent.

You will provide contract support, advise stakeholders' teams on contract mechanisms, incentive mechanisms, payment, and authorization processes. Additionally, you will:

  • Provide support to each services team, advising on all matters related to the STW Services contract and its scope.
  • Manage demand to identify opportunities through consolidated activity, economies of scale, work allocation, profile, and forecasting to optimize contract performance.
  • Seek to include further work (that falls within the scope) in the contract from other areas of STW.
  • Produce monthly contract position statements – volumes, KPI performance, payments, via the completion of monthly scorecards.
  • Monitor contract expenditure against work streams, working closely in collaboration with budget holders to ensure delivery of business objectives through the contract.

You will have a good knowledge of contract principles, the ability to bring teams together to work collaboratively, and a good level of Contract management/Procurement experience.
