KS4 Teaching Assistant - Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 10 Teaching Assistant to join our client secondary school. This pivotal role will involve supporting the Head of Year in managing the academic and pastoral needs of all Year 10 students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Student Learning: Assist in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences for Year 10 students. Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional help with their studies.
  • Pastoral Care: Work closely with the Head of Year to monitor student welfare, attendance, and behavior. Foster strong relationships with students to promote their emotional well-being.
  • Communication Liaison: Act as a point of contact between teachers, parents, and external agencies regarding student progress and concerns. Facilitate effective communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Support the organization of extracurricular activities that enhance student engagement and foster teamwork among peers.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Possess experience working with secondary school students, particularly in a teaching assistant capacity.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Display a proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
