AIG is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our private debt investment efforts. As Head of Private Credit Investments, you will be responsible for overseeing all investment activity in private debt globally, advising the CIO team on current and future allocation levels, and making proposals for external manager selection and market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all investment activity in private debt globally
- Advise the CIO team on current and future allocation levels
- Make proposals for external manager selection and market opportunities
- Establish the formal external manager oversight process for private credit asset classes
- Be the primary point of contact with all external managers in the asset class
- Develop regular reporting and meeting cadence with external managers
- Establish and maintain performance benchmarks for external managers
- Foster productive relationships with internal stakeholders, including ERM and Finance
- Produce materials and present to AIG governing committees and senior management
- Liaise with external managers and coordinate risk management and reporting
- Collaborate with AIG CIOs and third-party investment managers to evaluate emerging credit or risk issues
- Develop and maintain AIG Asset Class Frameworks for private credit asset classes
- Utilize AIG platforms to aggregate data and perform internal analysis
- Attend investment manager meetings and industry conferences
- 10+ years of experience in investment management or insurance asset management, with a focus on private debt
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks and credit, liquidity, and capital constraints of regulated insurance companies
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to infuse the internal investment process with new ideas
- Experience with Aladdin preferred but not required
- Ability to multi-task across a wide number of activities and multiple deadlines
- Limited traveling (up to 10%)
