Job Title: Lead Systems Test Engineer

Leonardo SpA is seeking a highly skilled Lead Systems Test Engineer to join our team in Basildon. As a key member of our Integrated Sensor & Protection business unit, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing test and evaluation activities within a project.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work with multiple stakeholders to establish integration, test, and acceptance activities at system level, taking into consideration input from sub-system and supplier testing evidence.
  2. Manage the integration, test, and acceptance activities in accordance with the project schedule.
  3. Support JEWCS System Engineering with requirements traceability.
  4. Write test procedures for the platform under test using a combination of internal and supplier design information.
  5. Participate in project design review milestones as part of the project development and test processes.
  6. Maintain configuration control for items under test.
  7. Perform system-level testing (installation of equipment, integration testing, and verification testing) in front of internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Write test reports and analysis documents in support of verification evidence.
  9. Attend internal and external meetings on ITEA activities.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in managing a small team of system engineers.
  2. Experience in integration and qualification testing required to demonstrate correct implementation of the design solution to meet contracted requirements.
  3. Preferred experience in RF and system integration, especially in the Defence Industry.
  4. Knowledge of IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS.
