Job Summary

Wood is currently seeking a highly experienced Principal Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in piping engineering and pipe stress analysis, with a focus on the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the piping engineering team in the development of piping systems for onshore and offshore facilities
  • Perform pipe stress analysis for various types of loads, including blast, seismic, and other occasional loads
  • Collaborate with the wider pipe stress function to ensure consistency and quality in pipe stress analysis
  • Develop and maintain piping models and stress analysis reports
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in pipe stress analysis and piping engineering
  • Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards, including ASME B31.3 and API 650
  • Experience with piping design software, such as CAESAR II or AutoPIPE
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
