Job Title: Advanced Practitioner - Acute Medical SDEC Team

We are seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Practitioner to join our expanding team at Fairfield General Hospital. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical and professional support within the team, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills and clinical attributes.

About the Role

The Advanced Practitioner will work independently with support from our acute medical consultants, accepting referrals to the unit from ED, GPs, and NWAS. The unit is open 8am till Midnight 7days a week, with a working pattern of long days and protected non-clinical time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical and professional support within the team
  • Work independently with support from acute medical consultants
  • Accept referrals to the unit from ED, GPs, and NWAS
  • Develop and implement programmes of care, protocols, and clinical audit
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Practitioner with a strong clinical background in Acute Medicine and Urgent Care. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Advanced Practice, with experience in a senior leadership role and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse or AHP with current registration, with a strong commitment to professional development and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.
