The Role

We are seeking a skilled mid-level data scientist to join our team of client-facing data scientists and client support analysts. As a Fraud Analyst - Data Insights Specialist, you will work closely with data scientists and crime analysts to identify patterns and trends in client data related to fraud. Your primary responsibility will be to apply exploratory analysis to uncover insights from large datasets, asking critical questions and providing actionable recommendations to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to provide in-depth fraud analytics and machine learning model insights
  • Analyze large datasets to identify fraud patterns, trends, and emerging threats, and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Work closely with clients to understand their specific fraud challenges and develop effective solutions
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and findings to clients
  • Develop and implement new model features to improve model performance
  • Optimize graph networks using network analysis techniques
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fraud detection and prevention

Requirements

  • Experience in data analysis, intelligence analysis, or data science
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to diagnose complex data issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Diligence, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with SQL and ability to run complex queries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques
  • Experience with network analysis and graph theory
  • Hands-on experience with DBT and Python for data analysis
